gamestop gave me digital deluxe key 'after' using diff. key for pre-release?
Alright, so, I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience.
I registered a gw2 digital deluxe key from gamestop for the betas and 3-day headstart.
I played as much as my work allowed on the 3-day headstart and ended up getting some good hours in.
On 9/2 I couldn't log onto my gw2 account, and was prompted by the gw2 news to re-register my cd key.
I did this with the key given to me by gamestop for 3-day headstart.
For some reason I ended up with a different account than my 3-day headstart account... now neither worked.
on 9/5 gamestop called me to pick up my gw2 digital deluxe game.. I went in, confused, and was given a DIFFERENT CODE which is supposed to give me my digital deluxe items.
I'm afraid to register with this code, because I don't want to lose my characters from pre-release. IT would **** to lose my character names and restart my account.
So far, I have gotten nothing but an automated response from the gw2 support-team. Does it take a long time to get someone to get around to support tickets?
I understand they're probably swamped with tickets, being so close to release, but I'm afraid I might be looked over because they have so many automated responses to try keeping players busy with.
I've been waiting for years to play this game, and put plenty of time and money into gw1 while waiting. It is rough having the game and not being able to play it in the few hours I have to spare after work.
If anyone knows of a quickfix, please share your expertise! haha.
If not that, could someone give me a ballpark estimate on the wait time for support requests to go through?
